An explanation (and apology) for this web site

Obviously, the JBM site is somewhat of a joke, but it is a joke with a purpose. It was created so that students in my classes at the Faculty of Information and Media Studies (The University of Western Ontario) could have something to critique.

It demonstrates some of the very worst web design problems, which I will not outline here, in case any of my students are reading this page.

I would like to thank Mr. David Lurie for coining the phrase "Juggernaut Business Mechanicals" and allowing me to use it. All the nonsense about robots, cyborgs and evil overlords is my own.

I would also like to thank the good folks a Flickr for creating a ready source of artwork under the Creative Commons license, and in particular the following artists for allowing me to use their work under the Share Alike provisions:

The Alieness GiselaGiardino | Abux77 | roBurky | sparktography | djwudi | monettenriquez | will pate | Alan Trotter | wintersweet | doc ido | balaam | Bjarte | Aune Olsen | litmuse | C!b0rg5 | SpooSa | Elsie Esq. | Chris Chappelear | jonhmuk | Dplanet | lhuiz

Thanks for your time.
